West Virginia State Pickleball Championship

Welcome to the First Annual 2023 West Virginia Pickleball Championship Join us the weekend of November 10th through the 12th at the Hazel & J.W. Ruby Community Center Sports Complex. This is a MMP Sanctioned tournament, and all medal matches will be refereed with the intent of referees being on as many courts as possible. We will have 15 air-conditioned indoor courts available for play! See below for the schedule of events FRIDAY - Women's Doubles and Men's Singles SATURDAY - Mixed Doubles SUNDAY - Men's Doubles and Women's Singles Each event is a separate fee plus a $5 software usage fee. Teams must register and pay as individuals. OPEN and Senior OPEN Events with guaranteed purse of $5,000. Divisions must have at least 6 teams to receive full payout. Deadline to Register: November 3, 2023 All registrations must be completed online via credit/debit card. Participants will receive a swag bag and water bottle if registered and paid prior to October 16th. All participants are invited to join us for a practice session Thursday November 9th from 3-6pm followed by a $10 player social immediately following at 6pm. Additional Information

Doubles Format: Double Elimination with brackets having 6 or more teams. All players will have the ability to play for the Gold Medal match through the consolation bracket. All players are guaranteed two ( 2 ) matches. All matches in the "Main Draw" will be 2 out of 3 games to 11; win by 2; all matches in the "Consolation Draw" will be one game to 15, win by 2. Medal rounds will be 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2. 4 or 5 team brackets will play a round robin format; 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2. 3 or fewer teams will be combined into a larger bracket. Singles Format: 5+ player brackets will play double elimination 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2 points. 4 player brackets will play a round robin format; 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2 points; 3 or fewer players will be combined brackets *Brackets may be combined at the discretion of the Tournament Director

Health & Safety

Concessions will be offered daily onsite by Mason Jar.

Prize Money

OPEN and Senior OPEN payout for gender doubles, mixed and singles. Must have 6 teams in bracket to receive full payout. Additional teams beyond 6 will increase the payout beyond the guaranteed $5,000.

Refund Policy

All refunds are subject to a $10 cancellation fee. No refunds for any reason after cancellation deadline of 10/17/23. Player fees are non transferable.
